Nick's Birthday

Nick's Birthday was on Saturday! It was so much fun! To start the day, we were able to go through a LA Temple session with my sister's unoffical fiance Ralph. He is a convert of one year and he is the sweetest guy. It was really special. After that we all went to an awesome Jewish Deli on Westwood called "Juniors."

At the end of the day we had special reservations at "Benihana." Nick didn't know where we were going so it made it a great surprise. It was so much fun!!!! Nicholas is 24 now. Can you believe it! We had the cutest little Japanese chef. It was awesome. We had a family that was pretty quiet at our table along with the loudest woman I have ever met, but really sweet (Those of you who think I am loud.... I am, but not as loud as this woman was) So with the combination of me and this loud woman it was awesome. We really gave the chef great support!!!
I made reservations a week and a half before Nick's birthday to make sure that we would get in. Well when I called they asked if it was for a celebration of some sort and I told them it was my husband's birthday. Well, another boy at the table was having a birthday as well. Well the other boy's family was upset because they signed up for something to get his birthday dinner for free and they wanted to make sure they got it. Anyway, they came and sang to this boy, but did not sing to Nick. Nick really did not mind because I had made him a JELLO CAKE (as requested) that was waiting for him at home and I told him I would make a production of the birthday song just for him. At the end of the meal, we had already paid the bill and were standing up and leaving and this really loud but sweet woman next to us said "I hope you have a Happy Birthday!" This Japanese woman was near us cleaning up and freaked out and said "Its your birthday? We did not sing to you!!! Sit down.... sit down!!!" (Say that in a thick asian accent) So we are laughing so hard because she brings out a pineapple (a benihana tradition for birthdays) along with 3 other people one of being the manager to sing to Nick. Then she takes a picture of us and prints it out on their fancy paper. It was quite the production. Really funny. We went home and had cake and ice cream! And then he opened up some gifts. One being a toiletry tote from his sweetheart!

An awesome book from his grammy and grandpa, and some others from Mom and Dad Ball and Lou Lou and Andy Rice. It was so much fun!
I love this man... A girl could not ask for a more handsome, more intelligent even more fun husband!! He is everything and more!!! Happy birthday my LOVE!
