Reasons Not to Play Video Games

I imagine most would think that I, being a "computer nerd", would love computer games. Well...there could not be a more untrue statement! I can't stand them! I think they are worthless, a waste of time, and a general hazard to one's health! I'm sure many do not share my opinion on this matter but I was happy to find that the American Journal of Preventative Medicine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, along with a few Universities performed a study that verified my feelings. Let me highlight a few points from their research

Playing video games:

  1. Makes you fat
  2. Makes you depressed
  3. Degrades your physical health
  4. Effects you mental health
  5. Rids you of any social skills you have

Here is the abstract from the study http://www.ajpm-online.net/webfiles/images/journals/amepre/AJPM_PR_Oct_2009_Video_Games.pdf

That being said....I pass no judgement on those that indulge in such activities. =P

Mormon Night and Angel's Stadium

Last night was Mormon night at Angel's Stadium. Of course we were high high high in the nose bleeds but thats ok we had a blast. None of our friends were sitting next to us and we couldn't find them. So of course if you know Nick and I we entertained ourselves laughing the whole night away. The Angel's were doing HORRIBLY and Nick asked me if I wanted to go (around the 5th inning) I said yes only if he would sing "Take me out to the ballgame" with me in the car really really loud. First he said, "oh well then lets wait until the 7th inning!" I gave him such a hard time for this and we were laughing so hard. He finally agreed. On the way out I kept giggling so much because I couldn't wait for us to be singing at the top of our lungs in the car. It was really funny. This is not odd for us though we do stuff like this ALL DAY LONG! Its really funny. I am glad I married such a hilarious man! He goes along with my craziness.
This is us attempting to take a picture in front of the big A.
What the "A" looks like. Just picture the picture should look similar to this. Yeah weird.

Ok.... so this picture was an experiment. Nick and I were laughing because my forehead always shines hardcore in every single picture. So Nick said it is because my face is dirty. And I told him to touch my head to see if it feels oily. He said "well not really but kind of." We were laughing because I told him his hands were oily. We were laughing and then we took an experiment picture and it didn't shine. We were dying because we were laughing so hard. He was right. So funny!

This is us really high in the nose bleeds but it is the stadium in the background. HAHA.

My 22 Birthday

Yesterday I turned the big 22! Can you believe it! My cute little sister Madison said "Its ok DOO DOO your not an old Fart yet!" I love it. She cracks me up. My whole family made my birthday so special.

It started out with my handsome husband cooking a fabulous breakfast for me before I went to work. I then worked the whole days which is kind of a bummer, but Taylor got me an awesome ice cream cake, they sang to me, made sure all the patients knew, and they took me out to lunch. Basically he made it awesome.

When I got home dinner was already prepared. I have the greatest husband... I am telling you. I am such a cry baby and whenever I get anything from nick I cry. I know.... but that is what love does to me. So Nick brings out a card he made.... I cry.... Then he brings out a cake he bakes (SO DELICIOUS!) and sings to me.... I cry. (When I say cry I mean tears falling.... not histerical)

For my birthday my mother-in-law got us tickets to go see Cirque De Soleil "O" in Las Vegas. I have wanted to see this particular Cirque for a LONG time. Nick got me a night in a suite in the Trump hotel. So basically we are going to VEGAS BABY! We are going to have the most amazing time, spend time with B, our Suite and of course see the SHOW!!!! What an amazing gift. I am so excited.

My sweet mom and dad got me a facial/Microdermobrasion
A couple of years ago I got staff infection on my face. I had it for six months. It was so gross. Anyway, ever since then I have always wanted to get rid of my scars. When I heard about this I couldn't wait to do it and my sweet parents got it for me. I am going this week! YAY! I cannot wait.

Basically, my family (on both sides) all called me and sang to me and made my birthday as amazing as can be! (Bwee and Dave.... I couldn't stop laughing at your message! AWESOME!)

After dinner, Nick and I went and played tennis together. Then we got hooked into the discovery channel because it is Shark Week. We had an awesome day. THANKS EVERYONE! Your so sweet.
